Pandel makers start their work
Thousand of bamboo came into the city. Pandel makers are starting their
work. The huge structure of pandal is made of bamboo
tied with rope. In the pick time of puja they use to stay at a place nearby
pujamandap and work together to decorate the pandal, one of the main
attractions for the visitor.
Khelaghar celebrating Platinum jubilee
This year Boro Chapatala, Khelaghar, Jagadhatri Puja committee

24 days left, Jagadhatri Puja
Jagadhatri Puja preparation has been started. Clay artist
has started the basic process
of idol-making which involves tying up bundles of hay in various forms and
applying coats of a kind of river clay called ‘entel mati’ which is adhesive by
nature. This results in the basic formation of the shapes. After that the
plastering will be done by using another kind of river clay called 'bele mati'.
