Jagadhatri Puja preparation has been started. Clay artist
has started the basic process
of idol-making which involves tying up bundles of hay in various forms and
applying coats of a kind of river clay called ‘entel mati’ which is adhesive by
nature. This results in the basic formation of the shapes. After that the
plastering will be done by using another kind of river clay called 'bele mati'.

Mahanavami is third and final day of Durga Puja. On Maha Navami Goddess Durga is worshipped as Mahisasuramardini which means the Annihilator of the Buffalo Demon. It is believed that on Maha Navami day Durga killed the demon Mahishasura.
